Petroglyph Pedra of San Mamede
Piedra de San Mamede

In Trascastro (Santalla) This is an Iron Age petroglyph in a poor state of preservation. On two slate slabs are represented ten bosses and two engravings in the shape of a horseshoe. To get there we will take the Cruz de Incio-Ferrería road, and, just before reaching Ferrería, we will take a detour to the right which leads to the spa. From here we will carry on walking up a dirt track until we reach another track that crosses the top of the mountain range. After walking some 600 metres, we will take another path leading down which takes us to just above the Piedra Escrita, and then a left turn leading to San Mamede.
